In September, NYM went through a teaching series called, We Are NYM, where we talked about our Foundations & Pillars as a youth ministry.
One of our ministry values is serving. As Christ-followers, we encourage students to be people who see needs & meet needs by serving in three ways: 1) at NYM, 2) at church on Sunday mornings, and 3) in their world (communities, schools, and city) to share the light of Jesus.
One way we as a church and as a youth ministry want to challenge students and families to serve, is by being involved in serving our city. That's why on Wednesday, December 6, our own Allie Dentinger will be holding an informational meeting on ways that students and families can serve the homeless in Rochester.
This meeting will be held at the Irondequoit Campus in Room 417/419, from 6:00 pm - 6:30 pm before NYM.
If your family is interested in volunteering with some of the amazing ministries that are in our city, you don't want to miss this meeting! Bring your students and come to hear about what opportunities are available!
If you're interested in attending, please RSVP below, and if you have any questions, be sure to let us know.
