We understand that parenting teenagers and working through topics like sex and sexuality is TOUGH. But we also believe that God has given parents this responsibility - That's why we want to do everything we can to partner with parents and resource them to do this well.
We are going to be offering a "fireside chat" style event on April 12th at the Irondequoit Campus during NYM.
Andy Woodall (one of our pastors) and his wife Julie are going to be sharing their story about raising teenagers, especially as it relates to sexuality. (Andy and Julie have a college freshman, 11th grader, 9th grader and 5th grader). They will share their lessons learned, insights from God's Word and will take an opportunity to answer your questions.
They will also be working through some of the questions that your students have submitted anonymously over the past few weeks.
If you'd like to ask questions, hear what your students are asking AND chat with a couple that has lead through this tough topic. we'd love to have you join us on April 12th from 6:30-8:30pm.
We recognize this is during the Community Group Trimester, but we feel this could be a good chance for your group to learn TOGETHER if you meet on Wednesdays due to Youth Group involvement.
We'll announce more logistics as time goes on, but please RSVP below so we can plan appropriately.
Thanks for partnering with us! We'll do our best to answer your questions and get you more resources over the course of this series.
