Parent Cue - September 13, 2017

We are so excited to kick off the year tonight at NYM. This week we will be talking about
where we've been and where we're going. We'll be looking back on things like retreats, student baptism, and summer nights to celebrate all that God did in NYM. Justin and I (Graham) will be doing a 15-20 minute talk to vision cast for what this year will look like and what we're excited about. After the talk, there will be a time of small groups followed by a time out by bonfires in the parking lot. To get a better visual of what the night will look like,  check out the schedule:

A Few More Things To Know...

The Wkend retreat is coming soon!!! This is our Fall retreat with the goal of building upon and solidifying relationships within small groups. This year we are adding an EXTRA DAY!! Why? As of right now, The Wkend retreat has the most momentum behind it. Students LOVE the retreats that we have the opportunity to go on, especially this one. In fact, they love it so much that a lot of the feedback that we have received is how they wish our retreats were longer. During last year's Fall retreat, We found ourselves only having one full day due to arriving late Friday night and leaving after lunch time on Sunday. We saw this as an amazing opportunity to extend this retreat one more day and give students more time to bond within their small groups and with their small group leaders. We can't wait to see what God is going to do!

October 6th-9th, we will be heading back to Saranac Lake for our third Fall retreat spent at this camp. If you've heard anything from us about Saranac, you know We love this place! With all of this said, we need your help! Some of you may remember from last year that Saranac Village utilizes volunteers to serve the students meals while at camp. This serving role involves working in the kitchen during meals for the duration of the entire weekend (Leaving Irondequoit campus Friday, 4:00 PM- arriving back Monday, around 8 PM). This will be a "first come, first serve"-type of volunteer role. If this is something you are interested in doing, let us know HERE!

More Students, More like Jesus... That's what we're all about here at NYM. We want to see more students become more like Jesus so they can radically change their world through Him! We are so excited for the coming year and what God is going to do in the lives of your students. Thanks for partnering and praying with us!
